The lights at Temple Square...
We went to see the lights this year. I was excited. First of all we rode the front runner for UTA trax to Salt Lake, From Ogden, They have a deal were you can buy a group pass for 4 people for 12.00. And there were 12 of us that went so it was perfect, we bought 3 passes.
Larry took this picture for me, it it one of my favorites of the night, that is for sure!!!!!!!!!!

On the train we rode up on the top deck, that way the kids could watch out the window and see mor of the scenery, or maybe we just didi it to be cool. You'll never know because if I told you I would have to kill you!!!
It was 4 seats on either side of the isle way and so we all kind of split up. The 4 girl cousins took one area. Aaron Larry Charles and I the other. And Ira, Emily Logan and Shannon the other. We had a fun ride down. Emily and I broke out singing popcorn popping and all the kids joined in or were grinning from ear to ear that were riding in the car with us by the time we finished the verse. Aaron on the other hand was horribly embarrassed. It was pretty funny :)

When we got to Salt Lake we were all hungry so we went to the Lion House for Dinner. we stood in line for about an hour, nut on a Saturday in Downtown Salt Lake at Christmas time where would you NOT be in line for that long? Logan got root beer to drink and was being a goof ball. This picture seems kind of out of sorts with the whole theme of the night but then again later on in the evening any in our arty were not fitting with the whole giving and loving theme of Christmas either so maybe it was a sign of what was to come later? who knows.
this Nativity was in the reflecting pool but I couldn't get a clear shot of it no matter what I did. This was that best of like 6 tries...still it was very beautiful
The Temple in wondrous splendor
on the east side of the temple toward the church office building they had tin cut outs all around the fountains and this particular one I really liked so her it is with the flash
and without...
some of the many groups of lights
and just before the camera battery died I got this nativity scene. they had several from different countries all around the grounds. It was a nice night but by the time we left I had been striped of the spirit of the night and was left feeling frustrated and angry. Definitely not the way I wanted to feel at all, I hope to go back again next year and be able to feel the spirit of Christ and all that he has done for me. That is my Christmas wish.
