The first Monday in December we made Gingerbread houses for FHE. It was so much fun. Aaron and I found this Village kit that had 5 buildings in it.,the same number of people in our family, awesome huh! and Ira and Emily came over too and Emily made one for them as well, Ira doesn't do stuff like that so he was on the computer while we all decorated our little buildings and villages.


This is the end result for the village. I love this Picture!!! SO MUCH!!!
Aaron took some extra time to shape the smile on his house. It is made out of a starburst. the white thing in the front that looks like a booger is actually a snowman :)
here is Emily creating her little house. We used just regukar frosting and it didn't set very fast so our houses kept falling apart, but finally we got them all to stay up

Kyah had the hardest time getting her A frame house to stay up. It was pre formed but that still didn't make it very easy. tons of frosting later it stood
I told Charles to put his house together wrong at first so we had to do a double take on his as well. Guess I should have read the instructions on that one... oops

Kyah has adopted my Picture pose for some of her pictures, in this one she said , I am saying Peace out mom :) I love it!

Murder Mystery in the Manor

What do you do when you want to spend quality time with some of the people in your village?  You plan Murder Mystery night of course!  I count Aaron and I very blessed and humbled that we have more village than what we played the game with that night, and I plan to host a couple more murder mysteries to enjoy all ofy village in the near future.  Tonight, we were set in a Manor. I was the wealthy Anthony Westgrove, that is dying of cancer and wanted to gather my family to say goodbye and to let them know I was turning the company over to my illegitimate son Richard, who was the only one that knew I planned to commit suicide after the gathering. We had a Lavish dinner planned of Flat Iron Steak, Marnie's Augrautin potatoes, Jenn's Rolls, Shannon Brock virgin Movktails and I topped it all off with Creme Brulee for dessert. The game company that I got this mystery night from was not as well thought out as How to Host a Murders for sure! The books were inconsistent...

Eight Already? Kyah turned 8 on January 5th. I am have the hardest time adjusting to this fact because I just can't be old enough to have an 8 year . Everyday She seems to grow and mature. I am grateful to have her as my oldest. Since she is Eight , here is a list of 8 things that I LOVE about her. 1. She has the Kindest heart, She truly and genuinely loves everyone she meets. 2.She is willing to help me with what ever task I am working on without complaint. 3.She is a good big sister. 4.She makes sure that everything is fair... or at least as fair as it can be. 5. She works very hard at her school work. Never giving up until its done. 6. Her testimony makes me so proud as a mother( as I am sure it makes Heavenly father proud too) 7. 2017- starts off with a bang

We had a New Years Eve  party with some of our close friends! We enjoyed a night of food, fun and entertainment. I wanted to do some minute to win it games to break up just the chit-chat and board games that we play so often when we get together. We played a game where we had to stack dice on a tongue depressor, and a really fun game where we had to carry potatoes between our legs across the room and drop them into a bucket. we got the adults and kids involved. It was such a fun night! As I prepare for the coming year, I hope that We have many, many more nights just like this one!!!
