Witch's Brew... and good Friends too...

Halloween night was particularly fun for us. We got the traditional free kids pizzas' from Papa Murphy's for the kids and then we had " Witch's Brew" ( homemade root beer) Its a fun tradition that we started last year. The kids are always inthrawled when we bring out the dry ice and put it in the pot. Our cute little friend Carolyn-Kate was a witch for Halloween this year and when she came to look at the BREW she cackled like a witch would and made us all luagh our socks off. We went trick-or-treating soon after dinner ( to walk off all the pounds that the candy would put on of course) . It was a very enjoyable night. The weather was cooperating very nicely, not to cold and not to hot either ( not that Logan could be hot in October) We hit way more houses this year than last due to the agreeable weather. When we got home the kids all dumped their candy in our traditional bowl , but it wouldn't fit so we got a paper grocery sack and put the candy in that , Man I didn't think going around 2 blocks would yeild such a huge amount of candy. Guess I was wrong....

It sounds like you guys had a great time. I like the Witch's brew idea. I hope I can remember to do that next year.

What do you do when you want to spend quality time with some of the people in your village?  You plan Murder Mystery night of course!  I count Aaron and I very blessed and humbled that we have more village than what we played the game with that night, and I plan to host a couple more murder mysteries to enjoy all ofy village in the near future.  Tonight, we were set in a Manor. I was the wealthy Anthony Westgrove, that is dying of cancer and wanted to gather my family to say goodbye and to let them know I was turning the company over to my illegitimate son Richard, who was the only one that knew I planned to commit suicide after the gathering. We had a Lavish dinner planned of Flat Iron Steak, Marnie's Augrautin potatoes, Jenn's Rolls, Shannon Brock virgin Movktails and I topped it all off with Creme Brulee for dessert. The game company that I got this mystery night from was not as well thought out as How to Host a Murders for sure! The books were inconsistent...

Eight Already? Kyah turned 8 on January 5th. I am have the hardest time adjusting to this fact because I just can't be old enough to have an 8 year . Everyday She seems to grow and mature. I am grateful to have her as my oldest. Since she is Eight , here is a list of 8 things that I LOVE about her. 1. She has the Kindest heart, She truly and genuinely loves everyone she meets. 2.She is willing to help me with what ever task I am working on without complaint. 3.She is a good big sister. 4.She makes sure that everything is fair... or at least as fair as it can be. 5. She works very hard at her school work. Never giving up until its done. 6. Her testimony makes me so proud as a mother( as I am sure it makes Heavenly father proud too) 7. 2017- starts off with a bang

We had a New Years Eve  party with some of our close friends! We enjoyed a night of food, fun and entertainment. I wanted to do some minute to win it games to break up just the chit-chat and board games that we play so often when we get together. We played a game where we had to stack dice on a tongue depressor, and a really fun game where we had to carry potatoes between our legs across the room and drop them into a bucket. we got the adults and kids involved. It was such a fun night! As I prepare for the coming year, I hope that We have many, many more nights just like this one!!!
