My weight loss game...
Back in January when I started this journey of a major life change I made my self a game. It is one square for every pound that I want to lose. When I reach my goal as a family we will go to Disneyland and play. As of this week I am 1/3 of the way there, well really 1.6 thirds of the way there. According to the game ( which has 80 spaces) over all though I would like to realistically lose closer to 90 pounds...
It crept on slowly over a span of 11 years of marriage, so I am not expecting it to come off instantaneously. I am excited however to see the changes that have taken place since January 4th 2010... I have gone down 2 sizes. I have WAY more energy than I think I have ever had. I feel much better now that my diet mostly consists of Veggies and fruits. It has become a game for me to find the most filling and fun recipes for the least amount of calories. (You should try it sometime.) I also have not had heartburn since I started Weight Watchers, but I eat acidic foods, go figure :) I have started biking the 4 miles to my work. Today is day one and so far its a killer :) but I am doing it and that is what matters!
Katie also has her own game that Joel( her honey) devised for her with Weekly challenges, I do the weekly challenges with her so it is more fun than just going through the grind of "losing weight"
So here's to a whole new ball game...
