FIRST SHOOTING LESSONS
SO for some reason Aaron decided that we would give the kids a lesson in gun safety and then let them ( with Aaron's help ) shot one bullet out of Aaron's shotgun. Charles was first and he was so excited to get to be big like dad. WE explained the safety rules for shooting first and let him know that Guns are DANGEROUS. But then he gato to shoot off one round. I covered his ears while Arron held the gun up for him . Charles did the rest though.


Chelsea was a little nervous to be so close to Aaron's gun, we have always told them that they shouldn't touch them. Cheslea got the same lesson as Charles and then I again held my hands over her ears and she shot off one round. She had such a huge grin on her face !
When it was Kyahs turn , She was so excited . She got her Safety lesson and then she looked at me and said, Alright mom I am ready for you to hold my ears." She had a hard time finding the trigger but when she did she popped of her round without hesitation.
The kids all kept their bullet casings for keepsakes and of course because they are my children they wanted a picture showing off the wares.
I know this picture is a little blurry but its because of the rain. Kyah and Charles were playing by the stream and they found this really cool mushroom and they were SO SO SO excited to bring it to me for inspection! I tried to get a good picture but the rain was not cooperating!!! It was very sweet of me children to think of me and want to share their find with me . I am very blessed to have such woinderful loving children!

That is so cool! My kids have all had lots of gun saftey lessons. With there dads job it is pretty important. We have several guns in our gun safe and with our help we have let the kids shoot the small ones. Nicole does not like it much, but McKayla thinks it is cool. But they also know never to touch a gun without daddy's help!!!

What do you do when you want to spend quality time with some of the people in your village?  You plan Murder Mystery night of course!  I count Aaron and I very blessed and humbled that we have more village than what we played the game with that night, and I plan to host a couple more murder mysteries to enjoy all ofy village in the near future.  Tonight, we were set in a Manor. I was the wealthy Anthony Westgrove, that is dying of cancer and wanted to gather my family to say goodbye and to let them know I was turning the company over to my illegitimate son Richard, who was the only one that knew I planned to commit suicide after the gathering. We had a Lavish dinner planned of Flat Iron Steak, Marnie's Augrautin potatoes, Jenn's Rolls, Shannon Brock virgin Movktails and I topped it all off with Creme Brulee for dessert. The game company that I got this mystery night from was not as well thought out as How to Host a Murders for sure! The books were inconsistent...

Eight Already? Kyah turned 8 on January 5th. I am have the hardest time adjusting to this fact because I just can't be old enough to have an 8 year . Everyday She seems to grow and mature. I am grateful to have her as my oldest. Since she is Eight , here is a list of 8 things that I LOVE about her. 1. She has the Kindest heart, She truly and genuinely loves everyone she meets. 2.She is willing to help me with what ever task I am working on without complaint. 3.She is a good big sister. 4.She makes sure that everything is fair... or at least as fair as it can be. 5. She works very hard at her school work. Never giving up until its done. 6. Her testimony makes me so proud as a mother( as I am sure it makes Heavenly father proud too) 7. 2017- starts off with a bang

We had a New Years Eve  party with some of our close friends! We enjoyed a night of food, fun and entertainment. I wanted to do some minute to win it games to break up just the chit-chat and board games that we play so often when we get together. We played a game where we had to stack dice on a tongue depressor, and a really fun game where we had to carry potatoes between our legs across the room and drop them into a bucket. we got the adults and kids involved. It was such a fun night! As I prepare for the coming year, I hope that We have many, many more nights just like this one!!!
