Live Nativity Scene...

In the first week of december we went to a live Nativity out in Nibley. It only cost a can per person for donation. There was a camel and many donkeys and sheep. Only so many people could go into the manger scene at a time While we were waiting it was great to talk about the true meaning of Christmas and how Jesus was a good example throughout his whole life. When we went into the manger scene. As we got close to Joseph Mary and the wise man, Mary picked up baby Jesus.( now as many of you know I am a blubber when it comes to pretty much anything) I was touched to the point of tears. To see that " real life" love that Mary has for Jesus. It put it into perspective for me.
After we left the manger scene we wondered around and talked with the owner of the Barn who put on the Live Nativity. We asked him how he came up with the idea of having this wonderful Nativity. He told us that one day a local Vet was coming out to check on his animals and told him that he had the perfect setup for a nativity, and the idea just grew from there. What a wonderful person. All he asked for in return was a can of food to be able to donate to the local food bank. I have to say I am TRULY BLESSED to live in a place where Christmas has not become so commercialized that we have forgotten the real meaning of Christmas. I am so grateful that I can teach my children that the real meaning of Christmas is no presents or Santa or Decorations.
We had so much fun that night. We were definitely chilled by the end of the night though. Being outside in -8 degree weather gets to you after a while :) Here are some AWESOME pictures of our escapade.

They usually do that at the temple out here every year. But it was WAY too cold this year!
