On Saturday Oct 2nd it was USU's homecoming parade. My niece Sierra is in dance and for the last 2 years she has been dancing in the parade. We went to see and support her. When we arrive on the morning of the parade the kids got " The best surprise EVER" I don't think Chelsea ever wanted to let Grandpa Mike go, She was so excited. My parents surprised us by coming up for a visit in the very beginning of October. the Mesa temple was closed and work was slow for dad so they came up for some Grand baby time. I didn't tell the kids that they were coming.The kids had a great time running out intot the street to get candy( which by the way I was thinking about this the other night and Parades are funny to me. Any normal parent would never let their child pick up a piece of candy off the sidewalk and eat it but when it comes to Parade's it all free game. even if its in the middle of the street by where the horses that came by 2 seconds ago have left their fun little road apples. Got to love it hee-hee) and there was even a time when Grandpa Mike went out in the street too. but when he came back to the side of the street he only had a dirty greasy hand to show for his walk about :) He gave one of the parade particapants the parade his Drive chain back ( it was kind of funny, hee-hee. ) then the other people in the parade with him pushed the buggy down the road.
When Sierra got to where we were we all cheered for her and my " redneck bull horn" voice distracted her from her dance. Sorry Sierra :) She did and awesome job though! Sierra is so good in fact that she gets to go to nationals this next February to compete at Walt Disney World. GO SIERRA!!! I , like and Idot forgot my camera so I will have to post pictures later. Shannon brought her camera and so that day wasn't a total loss. :)

that's sounds cool. you're right about parade candy being different than other time candy. i never thought about it, but it's so true. hope sierra does get to go to disney world.

I love parades! They make me so happy! All the colorful floats, the road apples, and of course the candy! Miss you all! Give your kids a hug for me!

What do you do when you want to spend quality time with some of the people in your village?  You plan Murder Mystery night of course!  I count Aaron and I very blessed and humbled that we have more village than what we played the game with that night, and I plan to host a couple more murder mysteries to enjoy all ofy village in the near future.  Tonight, we were set in a Manor. I was the wealthy Anthony Westgrove, that is dying of cancer and wanted to gather my family to say goodbye and to let them know I was turning the company over to my illegitimate son Richard, who was the only one that knew I planned to commit suicide after the gathering. We had a Lavish dinner planned of Flat Iron Steak, Marnie's Augrautin potatoes, Jenn's Rolls, Shannon Brock virgin Movktails and I topped it all off with Creme Brulee for dessert. Eight Already? Kyah turned 8 on January 5th. I am have the hardest time adjusting to this fact because I just can't be old enough to have an 8 year . Everyday She seems to grow and mature. I am grateful to have her as my oldest. Since she is Eight , here is a list of 8 things that I LOVE about her. 1. She has the Kindest heart, She truly and genuinely loves everyone she meets. 2.She is willing to help me with what ever task I am working on without complaint. 3.She is a good big sister. 4.She makes sure that everything is fair... or at least as fair as it can be. 5. She works very hard at her school work. Never giving up until its done. 6. Her testimony makes me so proud as a mother( as I am sure it makes Heavenly father proud too) 7. 2017- starts off with a bang

We had a New Years Eve  party with some of our close friends! We enjoyed a night of food, fun and entertainment. I wanted to do some minute to win it games to break up just the chit-chat and board games that we play so often when we get together. We played a game where we had to stack dice on a tongue depressor, and a really fun game where we had to carry potatoes between our legs across the room and drop them into a bucket. we got the adults and kids involved. It was such a fun night! As I prepare for the coming year, I hope that We have many, many more nights just like this one!!!
