APPLES TO APPLES


October 1st and 2nd Was fall break for my kids. I think it is crazy and a little bit ridiculous that after being in school for a month they got a break. When I was a kid( oh no, I have turned into one of those old people that walked up hill both ways)We didn't get a break until Halloween, and that was only because i lived in Nevada and The 30th of October used to Nevada Day. But what do I know.
Any way back to the reason for my post. Kyah ,Charles, Chelsea, and their cousins Logan and Sierra all decided to pick apples from the tree in our backyard and sell them. they picked them, brought them inside and washed them. then made signs that read...
Apples For Sale
 25 cents
Over the course of 2 days they sold apples at both our house and my sister Shannon's house. after all was said and done they made almost 40 dollars in their little entrepreneurial venture.
good job kids!!!
It brought back childhood memories of trying to drum up ideas and way to earn money. I think that at one point in time I made calanders for the following year to sell to my nieghbors for a dollar. I am glad that my children are willing to work for their money instead of just expect it to be handed to them when ever they want it!

What do you do when you want to spend quality time with some of the people in your village?  You plan Murder Mystery night of course!  I count Aaron and I very blessed and humbled that we have more village than what we played the game with that night, and I plan to host a couple more murder mysteries to enjoy all ofy village in the near future.  Tonight, we were set in a Manor. We had a Lavish dinner planned of Flat Iron Steak, Marnie's Augrautin potatoes, Jenn's Rolls, Shannon Brock virgin Movktails and I topped it all off with Creme Brulee for dessert. Eight Already? Kyah turned 8 on January 5th. I am have the hardest time adjusting to this fact because I just can't be old enough to have an 8 year . Everyday She seems to grow and mature. I am grateful to have her as my oldest. Since she is Eight , here is a list of 8 things that I LOVE about her. 1. She has the Kindest heart, She truly and genuinely loves everyone she meets. 2.She is willing to help me with what ever task I am working on without complaint. 3.She is a good big sister. 4.She makes sure that everything is fair... or at least as fair as it can be. 5. She works very hard at her school work. Never giving up until its done. 6. Her testimony makes me so proud as a mother( as I am sure it makes Heavenly father proud too) 7. 2017- starts off with a bang

We had a New Years Eve  party with some of our close friends! We enjoyed a night of food, fun and entertainment. I wanted to do some minute to win it games to break up just the chit-chat and board games that we play so often when we get together. We played a game where we had to stack dice on a tongue depressor, and a really fun game where we had to carry potatoes between our legs across the room and drop them into a bucket. we got the adults and kids involved. It was such a fun night! As I prepare for the coming year, I hope that We have many, many more nights just like this one!!!
