Even though my Dad's birthday wasn't until the 16Th we celebrated with him while he was in town. so after he got home from the Priesthood Session we had a dinner all ready for him and a cake. I was going to make him his FAVORITE cake, Mayonaise Cake, but I couldn't find my recipe for it. So I went for the next best thing. Chocolate Eclair Cake( thanks to Katie I have a KILLER recipe for it. ) Then he opened his gifts. Shannon and Larry found the most awesome thing one day while they were at the D.I. An entire collection of Red Skeleton video tapes. Dad loved them. He also got a new game that we taught him while he was here. Monopoly Deal, and some pocket sketch books. Happy Birthday dad!!! We love you and are VERY VERY VERY proud of you. For all those times that you picked us up when we were down, for all those late night phone calls and father's blessings, For all those times when we needed advice and knew that we could turn to you! You are one of my heroes that I look up to in this life! I am proud to have you as my father both in this life and the next!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you do when you want to spend quality time with some of the people in your village?  You plan Murder Mystery night of course!  I count Aaron and I very blessed and humbled that we have more village than what we played the game with that night, and I plan to host a couple more murder mysteries to enjoy all ofy village in the near future.  Tonight, we were set in a Manor. I was the wealthy Anthony Westgrove, that is dying of cancer and wanted to gather my family to say goodbye and to let them know I was turning the company over to my illegitimate son Richard, who was the only one that knew I planned to commit suicide after the gathering. We had a Lavish dinner planned of Flat Iron Steak, Marnie's Augrautin potatoes, Jenn's Rolls, Shannon Brock virgin Movktails and I topped it all off with Creme Brulee for dessert. Eight Already? Kyah turned 8 on January 5th. I am have the hardest time adjusting to this fact because I just can't be old enough to have an 8 year . Everyday She seems to grow and mature. I am grateful to have her as my oldest. Since she is Eight , here is a list of 8 things that I LOVE about her. 1. She has the Kindest heart, She truly and genuinely loves everyone she meets. 2.She is willing to help me with what ever task I am working on without complaint. 3.She is a good big sister. 4.She makes sure that everything is fair... or at least as fair as it can be. 5. She works very hard at her school work. Never giving up until its done. 6. Her testimony makes me so proud as a mother( as I am sure it makes Heavenly father proud too) 7. 2017- starts off with a bang

We had a New Years Eve  party with some of our close friends! We enjoyed a night of food, fun and entertainment. I wanted to do some minute to win it games to break up just the chit-chat and board games that we play so often when we get together. We played a game where we had to stack dice on a tongue depressor, and a really fun game where we had to carry potatoes between our legs across the room and drop them into a bucket. we got the adults and kids involved. It was such a fun night! As I prepare for the coming year, I hope that We have many, many more nights just like this one!!!
