Pumpkin carving
It's that time of year again. On of my favorite family traditions is going to a pumpkin farm, picking out that one special pumpkin, or helping the kids find that one special pumpkin and then carving and taking pictures . Of course dinner and fun are always included when it come down to it and this year we added a few new friends to the mix but as always there was fun that ensued.
We did things just a tad bit differently thus yrar. Normally we go to the farm south of LOGAN (ZOLLINGER FARM) but Shannon is taking a class on Saturdays for recertification of school and so we met at the pumpkin farm in Whitney, Id... it is a pretty cool farm we walked around for a good 45 minutes and I found not only a pumpkin for me and aaron but also a perfect Turkey pumpkin for my Thanksgiving decorations. We went back to Josh and Jenn ' s house and ser up tables outside for the kids to start carving. Kenn's friend Lacey joined with her kiddos as well. It was fun to watch all of the kids interact. Chelsea and Keelie were crazy and put pumpkin in their hair, which thankfully they showered before setting foot in my car for the ride home. But all in all, it was fun to watch the young and old carve pumpkins.
We had chili and cornbread for dinner with cookies for dessert. The kids worked hard on their pumpkins. Here are some of the pictures.
