I have a teenager

I have realized for a while that kyah is growing up and becoming more independent. She has more freedom and in turn, more responsibility. She went with our neighbor girls, Rebekah and Anna to a haunted hollow to "volunteer" to scare people as they walk through. I went to go and pick them up, I got there a little early. They had one more group coming through so I waited in the car for them to finish. As I sat in the car playing Gold Miner I really felt like the time I have left with my children is short and before I know it they will be grown and gone, living their lives , dating marrying and having families of their own. I am scared to lose the little amount of time that I have left with them. I want them to know what is important in life. Heavenly Father, family, commitment, humility, charity, faith, love help service, happiness. Such a small list there is so much more. I love being a mother and it is my most FAVORITE JOB! I worry constantly that I am failing miserably at it. I pray often, admittedly not as often as I should. But I keep trying and that is what matters. Love my kids! Love being a Mom.
When Kyah, Rebekah and Anna got to the car this is what met me and I laughed out loud at their awesomeness!

What do you do when you want to spend quality time with some of the people in your village?  You plan Murder Mystery night of course!  I count Aaron and I very blessed and humbled that we have more village than what we played the game with that night, and I plan to host a couple more murder mysteries to enjoy all ofy village in the near future.  Tonight, we were set in a Manor. I was the wealthy Anthony Westgrove, that is dying of cancer and wanted to gather my family to say goodbye and to let them know I was turning the company over to my illegitimate son Richard, who was the only one that knew I planned to commit suicide after the gathering. We had a Lavish dinner planned of Flat Iron Steak, Marnie's Augrautin potatoes, Jenn's Rolls, Shannon Brock virgin Movktails and I topped it all off with Creme Brulee for dessert. The game company that I got this mystery night from was not as well thought out as How to Host a Murders for sure! The books were inconsistent...

Eight Already? Kyah turned 8 on January 5th. I am have the hardest time adjusting to this fact because I just can't be old enough to have an 8 year . Everyday She seems to grow and mature. I am grateful to have her as my oldest. Since she is Eight , here is a list of 8 things that I LOVE about her. 1. She has the Kindest heart, She truly and genuinely loves everyone she meets. 2.She is willing to help me with what ever task I am working on without complaint. 3.She is a good big sister. 4.She makes sure that everything is fair... or at least as fair as it can be. 5. She works very hard at her school work. Never giving up until its done. 6. Her testimony makes me so proud as a mother( as I am sure it makes Heavenly father proud too) 7. 2017- starts off with a bang

We had a New Years Eve  party with some of our close friends! We enjoyed a night of food, fun and entertainment. I wanted to do some minute to win it games to break up just the chit-chat and board games that we play so often when we get together. We played a game where we had to stack dice on a tongue depressor, and a really fun game where we had to carry potatoes between our legs across the room and drop them into a bucket. we got the adults and kids involved. It was such a fun night! As I prepare for the coming year, I hope that We have many, many more nights just like this one!!!
