My first Demo Derby...
So on Saturday Aug 28th there was a Demo Derby in Preston, We went with Shannon and Larry and Michelle Johnnie and her cute kids. We had dinner in the park right a cross the street from the fairgrounds and then headed over for our evening of fun.
Aaron and I waiting for the derby to start. We were sitting in bleachers and the kids discovered right a way that they could slip under them and play around under them. Which worked out great for them when the clowns started throwing the candy.

This car was so stuck on the telephone pole that they had to bring in a forklift to wrench it loose.
It was such fun for me to watch these cars destroy each other, it brought me back to when i was little and I would go to the fairgrounds in Reno and watch my dad race his Stock car. I would sit on the edge of the bleachers with my licorice rope and watch the race with such rapture that I hardly noticed how long it actually was. I remember one time a care flipped and caught on fire. And if memory serve me It was either my dad's car or a relatives ... not quite sure, Mom do you remember?

Between Heats there was a dance contest. Everyone had to wait on the side lines for the tractors to clear the cars, Kyah and Chelsea went out and danced their little hearts out. it was cute but we were to far away to get any good pictures. It was a lot of fun to watch what the people would do to get the judges attention.
The Black Car with its trunk to me was my favorite car of all the heats the drivers name was Cody, He came close to winning. but in the last heat he was bested by another player.
For some reason I didn't get any pictures of Chelsea or Kyah, But here is a picture of Charles just hanging out.
By the end of the night I was cold and wet from the rain that fell. My voice was hoarse from screaming and I think My butt fell asleep about a half hour into the Derby but I don't think I have had fun like that since I was a kid!!! Thanks Shannon and Larry for the fun night.
