A how to book...
for the last Parent teacher conferences, Chelsae's teacher said that she was doing great and that there wasn't much that she needed to work on at home. So we get to do a How To Book. Chelsea got to pick what ever she wanted to teach everyone how to do and then we get to turn it into a book. Her first thought was that she wanted to teach everyone how to plant and grow a Garden. well since the garden wouldn't be growing very much before School got out she picked how to plant and grow a flower.
We got potting soil and seeds and started the process of documenting all the steps with pictures. it was all going very well and the plants were growing until one day when I accidentally put them outside for too long and they died. Needless to say my " black thumb" was out in full force.
So I told Chelsea that we needed to do something that i couldn't kill. She came up with teaching everyone how to make a Pumpkin Pie from Scratch( mostly anyway).
We made the crust from Whole Wheat flour and the only thing we didn't do from scratch was make the Pumpkin Puree. I think it turned out fairly well. Everyone scarfed it down so I know it tasted pretty good. Now Chelsea gets to turn our project into a book and turn it into her teacher.
