Well since Aaron and I were too busy to take any kind of Summer Vacation. We had come to terms with the fact that we were just going to have to wait until after Christmas break before any kind of Vacation plans could happen. Last week Aaron's mom Marti called me and said," Since I still have these clothes that I got for your kids for school, do you just want to meet me in Elko for lunch. Well lunch plans quickly turned into weekend plans. Amazingly enough a hotel in Elko is not expensive when you get it online :) We got there a little bit before Marti and Charlie so we let the kids play at the park and then went to check in at the hotel.
When Marti and Charlie got there, it was a nice surprise for the kids. We had not told them that they were coming. Another little bonus Marti and Charlie brought their dog Bear along too. Chelsea was IN LOVE... ( imagine that)
Aaron and Charlie found their relaxation early... Right out in the hotel parking lot in fact, It was like fate was calling... Aaron Charlie, Come sit here and relax, Pick your nose ,burp,Fart, I don't care. I am relaxation and I am waiting....Aaron and Charlie were no match to the "call" of the chairs.They just didn't have the will power :(
Originally the plan was to have two adjoined rooms, however neither of those rooms had a fridge or a microwave, so we settled for rooms across from each other. The kids loved the fact that they got to stay up late and watch cartoons and laugh and play. What a fun way to spend the night together... The ultimate sleepover. Love it!!!
Some how we convinced the kids that they needed to wait until Sunday morning to go swimming... Which was no feat considering the second they found out that there was a pool at the hotel they couldn't wait until they got to get in and play. I took the kids down after breakfast. Aaron and Charlie joined me a little later. While the kids played Aaron Charlie and I played Monopoly Deal.. avery ADDICTIVE card game that Shannon and Larry taught Aaron and I . Luckily for me... it only cost 5.00. Quite a bit less than many of the other games that we have been introduced too. All in all it was a very fun weekend. Thanks Marti and Charlie.
